According to a Toronto star article, a federal mediator has been appointed to sit in at the negotiation table with management and the Major League Soccer Players Union.
Sticking points are free agency and guaranteed contracts.
Hopefully this will bring about some advancement in the labor talks, as having the season start on time is very important for all of us who are anticipating an announcement on Montreal joining MLS in 2012.
